Thanks. As I said in a previous post, I did obtain permission from ACTD but I just can't lay hands on the email, it has been a long time. We started the AKTM in 1998 as a part of a fan club web site. It morphed into a wiki in 2004, and we moved it to Wetpaint a couple of years ago,

Does this list take into account of the TIC crew? also I'm sure theres normally alot more Red Shirt crew members on every Ship, I would say that most if not all the TIC staff would have Red uniforms with the highest department rank of Lt.Com unless a Commander is needed. As for the other Red shirts, not sure where to put them, thou the ship's flight wing would need a large pool of pilots so thats prob where all the others are heh.

this is not an akira class bridge, the akira class bridge is a variant on the galaxy class bridge. Your description of the bridge shown is even wrong. For one thing it shows only a center seat for the captain, no seatting for 1st officer and counselor

In the Standard Crew Complement page there are way too many doctors. Dental, OB/Gyn, Peds, and Therapy would all be for conditions which would be treated ashore or at a Starbase infirmary, not on a frontline vessel. Also for a crew of 500 I can't see needing more than a CMO, one surgon and 2 physicians. Also there is no mention of the Air Wing personell or Marine Detachment in there, I think that would be better suited for its own sections below the ship's crew.

The flight deck is 3 decks x 3.4 m/deck = 10.2 m in height. The Peregrine class raider is 20 m in height. They won't fit.

Query - there is no reference nor any indication on diagrams etc, of escape pods on the TIC. The only reference seems to be an "emergency ladder to enginerring"
Be buggered if I would want to be in the TIC of the ship was going "down". Surely there would be provision? or have I missed something important here....?

Yeah, remember the info I got here has been gleaned from over a dozen sources. Some of it just does not jibe with others. What this site needs is a fine-tooth comb, some way to tie it all in together and make all the jumbled parts make sense.
Of course, the TNG tech manual never put lavatories off the Bridge, either, but we knew they were there!

Ahh, the torpedo room. Strange that it's so large, when, based on speed of reloading, it appears to be almost all automated.

I like that logo, but I went with the blue one for use on the site. It was just a personal preference, but I guess it's ok to have the alternates. Would probably be good to make a distinction between the two or some such.

Just noticed there is a bit difference, the Shipyards, one is Mars and the other is Aldebaren, so both could be used, I might write up something to explain this, not too sure how to at the moment heh

I lost a butt-ton of images (as I mentioned on the front page) and the images I had were gleaned from the "Captain's Chair" CD-ROM of the Sovereign bridge. I screen-capped a walkthrough of every station. However, that was years ago and I have simply lost the images. What you saw was a poor rebuild.
I appreciate Jim's work and all the comments. Let's keep up the good work!

I lost the images for this page. We may just take it off, it really serves no purpose without the cutaway with the numbers.

i know akira's REAL length. there is absolutely no doubt that the akira is 407,6 meters long. This i because a man like Alex Jaeger, who designed such a awesome ship has to be 1337. and as we all know ILM is a US company. so couldn't it be possible that the discussion should be led in feet instead of meters? and now just guess how many feet 407,6 meters are?

Yeah, actually I do mind. I don't need links that go to YOUR lame wiki. If you want to contribute real content, feel free. Otherwise, just don't waste your time, or mine deleting them. I'll just ban you and be on my way.

Was arguing with my friend about the Kobayashi Maru and he said that it was the Akeela Class starship. I laughed at him so hard, but he didn't believe me so I looked this up and he's not laughing now.

Actually, the Kobayashi Maru, as seen in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, was a space freighter. Although I am sure the simulation changes at the Academy from year to year. And it's "Akira" not "Akeela". Simple error, I am sure.
